The BunYion Excited to be Part of Stake Presidency Elections This Week
The BunYion is pleased to be the sole sponsor and news organization airing information for the Sandy 697th Stake Presidency elections the week of 8/5/2013-8/11/2013. We encourage our readers to play a role as responsible citizens in their communities, including becoming informed about issues and voting in elections.
The BunYion also expects its readers to engage in the political process in an informed and civil manner, respecting the fact that readers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and may have differences of opinion in partisan political matters.
As this is our first time reporting on such elections, we promise to keep a balanced stance on all issues at hand. We have also changed our background to encourage our readers to engage in the political discussion at hand and to vote during the polling hours.
We encourage readers to engage in fervent prayer and constant scripture study as they seek revelation on the candidates and various issues.
We wish all the best to the four nominees during this week and commend them on aspiring to such lofty positions inside the LDS Church.

Schedule for the week of 8/5/2013
Monday: Primary winners will be announced for each of the four parties.
Tuesday: “On the Trail” with the High Priest Party nominee and the International Member Party nominee.
Wednesday: “On the Trail” with the Convert Party nominee and Covenant Party Nominee.
Thursday: Election Day – Polls open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM Mountain Time (MDT).
Friday: Election results and acceptance speech of future Stake President.
